The deep blue shade of eyes fascinates and falls in love from the first second. In fact, this iris coloring in cats is not that common. There are only a few breeds with eyes from soft blue to a deep blue shade.
Today we are going to talk about the most beautiful breeds of cats with blue eyes. Some of them are considered rare, but undoubtedly worth your attention.
How often do cats have a blue eye shade?
The most popular eye colors in cats are yellow, amber, and green. Blue and blue shades are rare and are the hallmark of certain breeds. Usually, this color is associated with the color of the coat – in blue-eyed purrs, most often it is white.
Often people, wishing to have blue-eyed white cats at home, make a serious mistake – they look at the color of the iris of the animal at an early age. You should remember that most kittens are born with blue eyes, which over time (often after a few weeks, but sometimes after a couple of months) under the influence of melanin change color.
There are also cat breeds in which blue eyes are not the main characteristic, but also occur quite often: the Javanese, the white Sphynx, the Ragdoll, etc. Also, a similar shade of eyes is found in all albino kittens who are deficient in coloring pigment.
